SCANNING
1. Once the fancy paper hat is on and tight find a well lit area. A kitchen is a great place. Preferably outside one a cloudy day or in the shade. Obviously, this is not possible by yourself, so if you have a friend who likes crafts and is into centrifugal forces, then you are ready.
2. Once seated and comfortable pick a spot on a wall to stare at and this is to help you keep your head as still as possible.
3. With your partner’s cell phone camera ready to record a video, ensure it has a high enough resolution to capture the scan. Most phones these days are more than sufficient. 4K is excellent, but 1080p works just as well.
4. Begin at the front of the person’s face and orbit around their head, keeping the centre of their head in the middle of the screen.
5. Once you’ve completed one orbit, gently move the phone slightly downward while keeping your head’s centre in the frame. Repeat this process 6 times.
6. After completing the scan, carefully remove the band and take a photo of its size. Ensure you upload this photo along with your video.
